Reference photo/s
The client must have taken the photographs provided for reference images, or permission for their use obtained by the client from the person who took them. If the project is to be a gift, the client accepts responsibility for sourcing and using images that are of the recipient’s pet. By sending me reference photos you permit me to use them in my publicity, advertising, and social media (such as showing a comparison between the reference photo and the final artwork).

The commencement of portrait painting is contingent upon the receipt and approval of suitable photos of your pet. The stipulated lead time of 10 working days will only commence once your reference photo has been reviewed and approved.

Lead Time
As my schedule may include a waiting list, the lead time for your portrait depends on the season and the number of other booked portraits. While I strive to complete your portrait within the stipulated 10 working days, and often complete well before this lead time, in case of a waiting list or backlog, you will be promptly notified of any potential delays. You will then have the option to proceed with the adjusted timeline or, if preferred, the opportunity to cancel your order. Your understanding and flexibility are really appreciated. Please note two products (Giclée Print & Pillow Case) are printed by third parties therefore delivery time will possibly be greater than 10 days.

Cancellation
If for any reason a client needs to cancel their portrait, they must let me know as soon as possible. If the portrait has already been started the illustration commission fee becomes non-refundable due to time spent on the painting however the payment for the printed physical items selected (print, mug, magnet, coaster, pillow case and/or keychain) will be refunded. 

Revisions
Your acceptance of the artist's creative vision is appreciated. No revisions are standard, and any modification requests must be mutually agreed upon solely by the artist, as an act of goodwill. Please note that changing the background colour is the only permissible exception to this policy. Your understanding is valued in maintaining the artistic integrity of the work.

Confirmation for Printing
 Once the portrait is completed, you will receive the final illustration along with mock-ups of your selected print medium, whether it be an art print, mug, coaster, pillow case, keychain and/or magnet. To proceed with the printing of your chosen item, please provide confirmation. This step ensures that you have the option to opt out before the artwork is transferred onto physical goods. If you choose not to continue, a refund for the respective physical goods (only the physical goods) will be processed promptly. Your approval is crucial to move forward with the printing process.

You will have the opportunity to slightly modify various products by selecting specific elements, such as adding your pet's name or choosing a background color. Suggestions will be provided in the mockup, and we can finalize your choices through email communication before the final prints are made.

Copyright
The artist retains full copyright on all artwork that is produced, including mock-ups and prints. When a portrait is commissioned, I reserve the right to display it on my website and my social media pages. The client does not have the right to sell copies of the work in any way without permission from the artist. Any unauthorised reproductions of the artwork violate copyright law.

Privacy
I will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.

Delivery Damage
My portraits are packaged extremely well, however in the unlikely event that damage occurs during transit please send a photo of the damaged artwork to me immediately. Depending on the extent of the damage, the package must be returned to me and a new portrait and goods will be sent. Please see the Returns Policy here

Customs & Import Duty
Payment of import duty may be liable in some countries, which is the sole responsibility of the client.

Gift Certificates
The Custom Pet Portrait Gift Certificates are non-refundable and do not have an expiry date. However they are valid for one year for the purchase date prices. If a client contacts me after one year and my prices have gone up there will be a charge for the price difference. Gift vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
